What is the best Pokemon in Pokemon Go?
Sure, you can take them all, but what if you only want to take the best ones? Well, when it comes to the best Pokemon in Pokemon Go, it really depends on what you want to do with your Pokemon. Whether fighting PvP, raiding or defending a Gym, you need to consider this.
One of the simplest (and therefore not foolproof) ways to look for a strong Pokemon is to determine its maximum CP. The Combat Power figure is determined through a combination of a Pokémon’s Attack, Defense, and Stamina numbers, but that’s not all and a Pokémon’s moves, stat distribution, and type should also be considered. However, if you’re just looking to know which Pokemon has the highest max CP potential, then according to Game Information (opens in new tab)this is slaking.
If you’re looking for a Pokemon that can be a punching bag and therefore a solid defender, it’s hard to go wrong with Blissey – he has the highest HP and Stamina stats right now. For attacking, Mewtwo is worth considering – not only is its max CP second to Slaking, it has good stats in general and a particularly high attack stat.
These are far from definitive choices (it can be quite tricky when you crunch the numbers in Pokémon Go), but they should at least give you a starting point.
