Netflix has officially released the first trailer for Stranger Things Season 4, Part 2 – and it looks like a lot more supernatural chaos awaits Hawkins’ gang.
The 30-second clip, which was shared publicly during the streamer’s annual event geek week event, had initially premiered as a post-credits scene after the end of Stranger Things season 4 episode 7.
Check it out on the official Stranger Things YouTube channel below:
O first trailer for the long-awaited fourth release of the series also contained snippets of episodes eight and nine, which are slated to hit Netflix in 1st of julyalthough this new clip exclusively includes footage from part 2 (or volume 2).
In the unsurprisingly teaser, we hear the big villain Vecna tell Eleven, “It’s over. You set me free. You can’t stop this now.” We also got a particularly revealing hint about a character’s fate – although we avoid all Stranger Things season 4 spoilers in this article.
Inside our review of Stranger Things season 4 volume 1, we said that the Duffer brothers’ mega-popular sci-fi series “has delivered on its promise, delivering an absorbing, action-packed, horror-filled entry that’s packed with revelations galore.”
Of course, though, many big questions remain unanswered (you can read about 11 of them here) and we hope that the final two episodes of part 2 will fit in at least any of the numerous loose ends left by the currently incomplete 4th season.
As for Stranger Things season 5? We know it’s definitely in the works, though it also marks the final entry into the series’ main story. Executive producer Shawn Levy recently said ScreenRant (opens in new tab) that its creators, the Duffer brothers, “didn’t want the series to run out of smoke” and not be welcomed – but the Stranger Things universe could still continue in spin-offs and standalone films.
Elsewhere during Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022 event, fans received updates on shows like The Sandman, Locke and Key, and Guillermo del Toro’s latest horror project, Cabinet of Curiosities.
